MP Nadim Gemayel expressed regret over the Islamic Shiite Council's boycott of the Christian-Islamic meeting held in Bkerke, slamming, however, the “subservience” that such an act was met with.

"What is even more regrettable and disgraceful is Father Abou Kassm’s participation in the launch event of the book 'Al-Ghadir and Imamate,' held under the patronage of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, amidst the ongoing attacks on the Maronite Patriarch and Bkerke,” Gemayel wrote on his X account. “Neither appeasement nor subservience will restore Bkerke's dignity."
