Kataeb Political Bureau Members Condemn Shooting at Kataeb Headquarters

Yesterday, unidentified gunmen opened fire at the Kataeb Headquarters in Saifi, downtown Beirut.

Security agencies have begun their investigations into the shooting incident under the supervision of Deputy Government Commissioner Judge Hani Helmi Al-Hajjar.

Commenting on the shooting incident at the Kataeb Headquarters, Kataeb Political Bureau Member and Former Economy Minister Alain Hakim wrote on "X" platform: "These actions will not intimidate us nor deter us from our path. We are determined to continue our struggle for freedom and sovereignty, regardless of the challenges and threats we face. We will persist in defending Lebanon, and anyone who thinks they can scare us with such vile acts is mistaken. We are more resolute than ever in achieving our national goals."

For his part, Kataeb Political Bureau Member Maroun Assaf said: "The party of 5,000 martyrs will not be intimidated by your bullets; on the contrary, this shooting will only increase our determination, resolve, and steadfastness in our stance. You will not take by force what you could not achieve through politics. The Kataeb Party will remain the conscience of all Lebanese in the service of Lebanon."
