The Lebanese Kataeb Party on Tuesday condemned attacks targeting Saudi Arabia that struck civilian areas and facilities and caused civilian casualties, expressing full solidarity with the kingdom and warning against further military escalation in the region.

In a statement, the party’s Foreign Affairs Department denounced the attacks and said any assault that threatens the security or sovereignty of states or puts civilians at risk could have serious consequences for stability across the wider Middle East.

The statement came after Yemen's Tehran-backed Houthis ​attacked energy facilities and cities in Saudi Arabia, wounding more than 70 people.

The department said it stood in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its people, stressing its rejection of any action that undermines the security and sovereignty of states or endangers civilians.

It called for respect for national sovereignty and adherence to international law, urging parties to address differences and disputes through political and diplomatic channels rather than military confrontation.

“Military escalation can only lead to further instability,” the party said in its statement.

The Foreign Affairs Department also extended its condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery, renewing the party’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia during what it described as difficult circumstances.
