Seven Trucks, Compartmentalized Cells: New Details Emerge in Hezbollah Explosives Case

A diplomatic report delivered to a foreign embassy in Beirut indicates that the explosives-laden truck seized in Dahr al-Baydar was not the only vehicle involved in the operation, with seven trucks reportedly traveling along the route from the Bekaa Valley to Beirut, Nidaa Al Watan reported.

According to diplomatic information cited by the newspaper, the two men aboard the intercepted truck were not the only individuals tasked with transporting the explosives. Investigators are now focusing on identifying other people believed to have been involved.

The report said Hezbollah had formed separate, compartmentalized cells, each consisting of two or three members. The cells operated independently, with each unaware of the others’ identities or activities, a structure that has complicated the investigation.
