Number of Arrivals Expected to Reach Two Million

Director General of Civil Aviation Fadi Al-Hassan stated "Congestion at Rafik Hariri International Airport - Beirut is a good sign, and it is reflected in state’s income, especially that Lebanon is suffering from a severe economic crisis”.

“At least one hundred planes are landing in and one hundred planes are leaving the Airport every day, i.e. not less than 16 thousand arrivals and less for the departures, and these numbers have started to increase since last Sunday," Al-Hassan said in an interview with 'Ad-Diyar' newspaper.

He expected that the number of arrivals may reach between 1,800,00 and two million this summer.
