Nassar Says Hezbollah Must Choose Between Disarmament or Dragging Lebanon Toward Suicide

Justice Minister Adel Nassar outlined multiple potential outcomes for the Cabinet session scheduled for today, including the possibility of extended debate and postponing the decision on the controversial weapons dossier to a later meeting set for Thursday.

Speaking to MTV, Nassar affirmed that he will push for a clear timeline for Hezbollah’s disarmament during the session.

“We hope the consciences of Hezbollah’s leaders will awaken, and they will hand over their weapons so we can move forward together to build the state,” Nassar said. “But if they insist on retaining their arms, it is unacceptable to drag the Lebanese people toward suicide.”
