Hezbollah Rockets Hit Israeli Bases as Israel Intensifies Air Campaign

Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah continue to escalate as both sides launch strikes across borders, heightening concerns of a prolonged conflict. On Tuesday, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching rockets at strategic targets within Israel, including military and intelligence bases.

According to a statement from the group, rockets were fired at the "Stella Maris naval base" near Haifa and the "Glilot base of the 8200 military intelligence unit" in Tel Aviv's suburbs. These strikes followed a similar attack on the same intelligence base on Monday night.

The Israeli army responded with heavy bombardments, targeting Hezbollah and Hamas positions in both Lebanon and Gaza. In the last 24 hours, Israel reportedly struck 230 targets, including Hezbollah command centers responsible for drone attacks. Ground activity also intensified in southern Lebanon, further destabilizing the region.

Monday night saw a particularly intense series of Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah stronghold. According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, 13 strikes were carried out, including one that struck an area near Rafik Hariri University Hospital. The Lebanese health ministry confirmed that four people, including a child, were killed and 24 others injured.

Israeli strikes also affected Beirut’s international airport, prompting Middle East Airlines to switch runways due to proximity to the strikes near Ouzai.
