Hezbollah Launches Over 100 Rockets at Haifa as Israeli Strikes Pound Several Targets in Lebanon

Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets targeting northern Israeli cities, including Haifa, on Tuesday, marking one of the heaviest attacks since the outbreak of the ongoing conflict. According to the Israeli army, over 100 projectiles were launched from Lebanon into Israeli territory, affecting areas in the Upper Galilee, Central Galilee, and Haifa Bay.

The Israeli military said that air defenses had successfully intercepted many of the rockets, though several made impacts on the ground, causing damage in Haifa’s suburbs, including Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin.

On the other hand, Israeli Airstrikes resumed on the southern suburbs of Beirut, with raids reported on Hay al-Ghadeer, Haret Hreik and Rweiss areas.

An airstrike also targeted a parking lot between the airport bridge and Ghobeiry Municipality building.

Israeli jets also launched an airstrike on the main water conduit of the Litani River, which supplies the Qasmiyeh irrigation project in the Arzi area. This project delivers more than 260,000 cubic meters of water daily to irrigate around 6,000 hectares of agricultural land along the southern coast. This attack, considered a violation of international humanitarian law, has rendered the Litani River unusable in southern Lebanon, raising concerns about Israel's ambitions for Lebanon's water resources. Temporary measures have been taken to divert the water and prevent the flooding of agricultural land and roads. Steps will also be taken to restore the project to support the agricultural lands.

Additionally, Israeli jets carried out a raid near Heiran Hospital in Tyre, and other strikes targeted Adloun, Kfour, Shahabiyeh, and Tayr Filsay in southern Lebanon.
