Escalation in Beirut: Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets as Ceasefire Agreement Nears

After issuing six evacuation orders for 20 buildings on Tuesday afternoon, Israel launched a series of heavy airstrikes targeting several areas across Beirut's southern suburbs.

Simultaneous strikes caused widespread destruction, with loud explosions and thick clouds of smoke rising from the impacted sites.

Following these intense airstrikes, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that Israel had "initiated a large-scale assault on Hezbollah targets in the Beirut area."

This escalation unfolds as both sides are reportedly in final discussions over a ceasefire agreement expected to be confirmed in the coming hours.
