Justice Minister Adel Nassar attended only the first part of Monday's Cabinet meeting, leaving shortly after ministers concluded discussions on the army’s plan, according to Voice of Lebanon radio.
The station reported that Nassar’s early departure was due to a prior commitment to meet with an international judicial delegation that arrived in Beirut on Monday afternoon.
Nassar took part in the initial segment of the session, which focused on reviewing the military’s proposed plan for the second phase of disarmament, before leaving the Cabinet moved on to other items on its agenda.
