Quintet Ambassadors Arrive in Bnachei to Meet with Frangieh

Marada Movement Leader Sleiman Frangieh on Wednesday met at his Bnachei residence with the ambassadors of the five-nation group for Lebanon, in the absence of Saudi Arabia's Ambassador, Waleed Bukhari, who has apologized for not being able to attend for health reasons.

The meeting was also attended by MP Toni Frangieh and former minister Roni Araiji.

On emerging, the Egyptian ambassador spoke on behalf of the committee, indicating that they exchanged ideas and that the meeting constituted an opportunity for dialogue, discussion, deliberation, and shedding light on important topics.

He said: “We had the honor of meeting Sleiman Franjieh, and it was an opportunity to discuss many matters related to the political impasse, especially with regard to the election of the President of the Republic.”

Ambassador Moussa added: “We met Sleiman Franjieh not in his capacity as a presidential candidate, but in his political capacity, and this is the most important thing.”
