U.S. Embassy Denies Issuing New Travel Warning for Lebanon

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut has denied reports circulating on Lebanese news websites and social media platforms that Washington had issued a new travel advisory warning American citizens against travel to Lebanon and other countries in the region due to rising security threats.

The claim suggested that the U.S. had recently updated its guidance to citizens, advising them to avoid travel to Lebanon amid heightened regional risks.

However, the “Fact Check Lebanon” team at the Ministry of Information contacted the U.S. Embassy for clarification. Embassy officials categorically denied the report, stating that the alleged advisory is outdated and that “no such travel warning has been issued recently.”
