Former President Amine Gemayel recalled Martyr Minister Pierre Gemayel on his 17^th assassination anniversary.

“Pierre is still with me and has never left me. He was more than a son; he was my partner and companion. I draw inspiration from his ideas. His sons Amine and Alexandre console us, bearing the responsibility as they were born into this household. Without forgetting Samy, who continues the journey with a high spirit."

"It's as if martyrdom is the destiny of this family, but it is also their destiny to continue the struggle and not surrender. Each time a member of this family becomes a martyr, the flag is handed over,” he added.

Expressing concern over the country’s fate, President Gemayel said: "I am afraid for the country, and it's unfortunate that some officials are not aware of where they are heading."

“Anyone who knew Pierre understands how he tackled major problems with a laugh, a smile, and his cheerful spirit, which endeared him to people,” Gemayel noted.
