Military Court Official Shelves Complaint Against Ambassador to U.S.

The government commissioner to Lebanon’s Military Court, Judge Claude Ghanem,  has decided to shelve the complaint filed against Lebanon’s ambassador to the United States, Nada Hamadeh Mouawad, MTV reported.

The complaint was filed on Sept. 29 by Lebanese lawyer Hassan Adel Bazzi following media reports claiming that Mouawad had contacted Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter after his son was seriously injured in a car-ramming attack in the occupied West Bank.

On Oct. 13, Lebanon’s Prosecutor General, Judge Ahmad Rami al-Hajj, referred the complaint to Ghanem for review and appropriate legal action.
