Majd Harb Proposes Expedited Law to Rehabilitate New Airports for Civilian Use

Lawyer Majd Harb held a press conference on Thursday in which he discussed a proposal for an expedited law aimed at rehabilitating new airports for civilian use.

Harb pointed out that air navigation at Beirut Airport does not meet the necessary conditions, emphasizing that there is no higher necessity than the restoration of airports for civilian use.

He asserted that citizens are paying the price for the State's policies, highlighting that there is a party committed to institutional work and confrontation, but people have become disheartened.

"I will start a tour of parliamentary blocs to propose a repeated expedited law to develop airports for civilian use alongside Beirut International Airport," he noted.

He noted that the clashes that occurred on May 7 led to the closure of the airport road, preventing aircraft from landing to ensure their safety.

Harb stressed that Beirut Airport's capacity is no longer sufficient, making it imperative to rehabilitate other airports.

He called for the allocation of funds to expand, equip, and restore airports and to open new ones, noting that this would create job opportunities for Lebanese youth.
