Hankache Says Kataeb Party Does Not Compromise on Its Values

Resigned Kataeb lawmaker Elias Hankache on Thursday stressed on the importance of unifying the opposition amid this challenging situation.

“The nomination of Majd Harb in the Batroun district is important so as to merge our efforts to increase the likelihood of our success in the upcoming elections,” Hankache said in an interview with Al-Jadeed TV channel.

“The Kataeb political bureau is the one that decides the nominations for the parliamentary elections. We are trying to give a model for unifying the opposition in Metn through party candidates and allies in the "List”. In Beirut, our candidate is Nadim Bachir Gemayel,” he emphasized.

“The Kataeb party is a party that does not back down, yield or compromise its values; a party that resists and doesn’t fear anything, a party that is loyal to Lebanon regardless of the hardships,” he noted.

“The aim of this battle is to propose an alternative to rebuild our country. We, as Kataeb party won’t compromise and we call on for a massive participation in the 2022 elections so as to change this dreadful ruling that is responsible for the situation we have come to,” he concluded.
