Kataeb political member Joelle Bou Abboud on Tuesday stressed that the Lebanese people will teach the ruling authority an important lesson in the upcoming parliamentary elections, saying that they will exert their utmost efforts to be the key for the real change.
“Change is inevitably coming,” Bou Abboud told Voice of Lebanon radio station, saying that authority is creating an atmosphere as if the people are unable to change.
“The changeable atmosphere that was achieved in the Engineers Syndicate elections should apply to all sectors so as to practice the policy of recovering the State’s institutions,” she said.
“The engineers Syndicate has proved that unity is what creates strength and victory,” she noted.
Bou Abboud deemed Lebanon as a country that has become out of service with all its sectors being affected, saying that the Lebanese has a great responsibility in the next elections and has no right to reproduce the same authority.
"Our path is clear and we built it step by step and we have gained the confidence of the majority of groups within the revolution,” she added.
“The parties in the power do not want to form a government. There is procrastination, and we are in a situation where the government must meet every day and negotiate with donor countries and the International Monetary Fund,” she pointed out.
“The system’s goal is to improve the conditions in any government and to preserve gains,” she affirmed.
“The current ruling authority is in agreement not to form a government and the Constitution has become a point of view, despite the technical gaps in it,” she noted.
Bou Abboud warned against the system's any attempt to postpone the parliamentary elections, saying that this will have major consequences.
“People will give us the confidence to change the country and to build a homeland worthy of the Lebanese,” she concluded.
