Gemayel Outlines Importance of Implementation of UN Resolutions
Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Wednesday met with the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of UN in Lebanon, Yan Kobitch, with talks featuring high on the recent developments in the country.
Kobitch expressed his fears over the Lebanese government’s inaction in maintaining its sovereignty.
In his turn, Gemayel outlined the importance of pushing for the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions, notably 1701 and 1559, the Lebanese state’s monopoly over war and peace decisions and the need to adhere to neutrality and dissociation from regional conflicts.
