The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported on Friday that Israel’s ground operation in southern Lebanon is approaching its final stages, according to senior security officials.

These officials stated that the military campaign, which began amid escalating border tensions, is likely to wrap up within a week or two if operational and political circumstances remain stable and without any last-minute adjustments.

Officials disclosed on Friday evening that the Israeli army has achieved "substantial success" in the contested southern region, dismantling multiple Hezbollah infrastructures and fortifications along the front lines. The reported advances come as part of a broader military strategy targeting Hezbollah positions in response to recent cross-border hostilities.

The operation’s timeline remains tentative, depending on final assessments and potential developments in the conflict, the officials indicated. While Israeli authorities have refrained from specifying exact troop movements, the progress made so far has underscored Israel’s intention to limit Hezbollah’s reach and capabilities near its borders.
