Hakim Stresses Need for a New Vision to Rescue the Country from Ongoing Crises

Kataeb Political Bureau Member Alaim Hakim pointed out that "we are facing three possible scenarios. The first is a pessimistic one, where we continue on the current path, failing to emerge from the crisis regardless of the circumstances. The second scenario involves a temporary fix, improving the situation without addressing the root causes, which would delay a potential conflict for several years, only to eventually face the same predicament. The third scenario envisions the rise of new leadership that fosters good governance and citizenship, leading to the formation of an enlightened authority capable of steering the country toward recovery and avoiding ongoing crises."

In an interview with "Al-Anbaa"newspaper, Hakim called for "a new vision across the nation to lift Lebanon out of the nightmare we're in, ultimately leading to the country's salvation."

He recalled past calls to strengthen the State, expressing hope for practical solutions to end the crisis.

As hopes and aspirations alone do not lead to solutions, Hakim stressed that all political forces must unite to elect a consensual president who can lead the country through this critical phase.

He also emphasized that all Lebanese must demand an end to aggression against Lebanon and the implementation of UNSC Resolution 1701 on both sides of the border before the cycle of violence engulfs everyone.
