Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel expressed deep sorrow over the passing of George Freiha, who once served as President-elect Bachir Gemayel’s Chief of Staff. 

In a heartfelt tribute shared on social media platform X, Gemayel praised Freiha's exceptional contributions to the country and to the Lebanese resistance movement.

"Today, Lebanon has lost an extraordinary thinker, and the Lebanese resistance has lost one of its symbols," Gemayel wrote.

He also emphasized the personal impact Freiha had on his life, describing him as a steadfast source of support during challenging times.

"You were always a pillar of support for me during difficult times. Your advice and ideas will stay with me forever."

"Farewell, my comrade George. May your soul rest in peace," he concluded.
