Kataeb lawmaker Nadim Gemayel drew attention to the fact that inhabitants of Achrafieh and Beirut had been suffering for days due to the emission of a potent fire smell brought on by the failure to put out fires in the port of Beirut.

“In an effort to alleviate this suffering, I spoke with the Governor of Beirut and the Beirut Fire Brigade, hoping that the parties concerned would come up with a sustainable solution,” Gemayel tweeted.
