Breakthrough in Beirut Port Explosion Investigation as Prosecutors Forge Cooperation

According to reports from the Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Anbaa," a meeting between Judge Jamal al-Hajjar, the General Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, and Judge Tarek Bitar, the judicial investigator, has finally resolved the deadlock that had hindered the Beirut port explosion investigation for two years.

This development has paved the way for collaboration between the two parties to push forward with the case, despite its entanglement in political and security complexities.

The promptness exhibited by al-Hajjar in arranging the meeting with the judicial investigator signifies the determination not to yield to any attempts to obstruct the investigation into Lebanon's most severe crime.

Informed sources within the judiciary, as cited by "Al-Anbaa," indicate that the new Disciplinary Public Prosecutor is unwilling to tolerate any further delays in the investigation and is prepared to work closely with Bitar to advance the case and provide closure to the victims' families.
