Al Akhbar newspaper found out that the four Banque du Liban (BDL) vice governors Wassim Mansouri, Bachir Yakzan, Salim Chahine, and Alexandre Mouradian are heading toward mass resignation on Monday (if there are no new developments).

Informed sources noted, " House Speaker Nabih Berri continues to oppose the appointment of First Vice-governor Wassim Mansouri as governor, fearing the potential escalation of the situation and the potential blame being placed on the Shiite duo."

They noted that the vice-governors will continue their work after the resignation because the government will request them to do so under the pretext of managing public affairs until a new BDL governor is appointed. However, they claim that this measure will relieve them of some responsibilities.
