The Vatican on Monday released the full itinerary for Pope Leo XIV’s upcoming visit to Lebanon, set for November 30 to December 2. The trip to Lebanon will form the second leg of the Pontiff’s first Apostolic Journey outside Italy, following his visit to Turkey.

Pope Leo is expected to arrive in Beirut on Sunday, November 30, where he will be received with an official welcome ceremony before holding a series of high-level meetings with Lebanon’s top officials.

The Vatican said the Pope’s three-day visit will include meetings with political leaders, interreligious gatherings, prayers at major Christian sites, and a Mass at the Beirut Waterfront.

Below is the full schedule as released by the Holy See:

Sunday, November 30 – Istanbul, Beirut

• 3:45 p.m. – Arrival at Beirut International Airport and official welcome ceremony.

• 4:45 p.m. – Courtesy visit with President Joseph Aoun at the Presidential Palace.

• 5:15 p.m. – Meeting with the Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. 

• 5:30 p.m. – Meeting with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

• 6:00 p.m. – Meeting with representatives of the government, civil society, and the diplomatic corps. Speech by Pope Leo XIV.

Monday, December 1 – Beirut, Annaya, Harissa, Bkerké

• 9:45 a.m. – Visit and prayer at the tomb of Saint Charbel in Annaya. 

• 11:20 a.m. – Meeting with bishops, priests, consecrated men and women, and pastoral workers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa. Speech by Pope Leo.

• 12:30 p.m. – Private meeting with Catholic Patriarchs at the Apostolic Nunciature.

• 4:00 p.m. – Ecumenical and interreligious meeting in Martyrs’ Square in Beirut. Speech by Pope Leo.

• 5:45 p.m. – Meeting with young people at the seat of the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch in Bkirki. Speech by Pope Leo.

Tuesday, December 2 – Jal el-Dib, Beirut, Rome

• 8:30 a.m. – Visit with staff and patients at De La Croix Hospital in Jal el-Dib. Greeting by the Pope.

• 9:30 a.m. – Silent prayer at the site of the Beirut Port explosion.

• 10:30 a.m. – Mass at the Beirut Waterfront. 

• 12:45 p.m. – Farewell ceremony at Beirut International Airport. Speech by Pope Leo.

• 1:15 p.m. – Departure for Rome.

• 4:10 p.m. – Arrival at Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport.
