U.S. President Donald Trump warned Hezbollah against any violations of the newly brokered ceasefire in Lebanon, expressing hope that the group would abide by the truce agreement with Israel.

“I hope Hezbollah acts nicely and well during this important period of time. It will be a GREAT moment for them if they do. No more killing. Must finally have PEACE!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

The comments came shortly after the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon entered into effect.

In a separate post published about three hours later, Trump described the developments as part of a “historic day for Lebanon,” adding: “Good things are happening!!!”
