Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Al-Shibani announced that he will embark on his first official visit abroad, heading to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart.

Al-Shibani shared the news on his X account, expressing his enthusiasm for the landmark visit and highlighting its significance in strengthening ties between the two nations.

“I have received an official invitation from His Excellency, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, to visit the Kingdom,” he wrote. “I wholeheartedly accept this invitation with great joy and honor and look forward to representing my country on this inaugural official visit. We aspire to build strategic relations with our brothers in the Kingdom across all fields.”
