Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Lebanon After Golan Rocket Attack

The Israeli military has launched strikes against Hezbollah targets "deep inside Lebanese territory", according to official sources.

The Israeli military said it had mainly hit targets that it had already struck previously, mostly close to the border with Israel or surrounding the southern port of Tyre. It reported one strike in the Bekaa Valley, roughly 60 miles to the north, where it has been striking less frequently since February.

The Israeli army also claimed to have hit weapons caches and "terrorist infrastructure" in several areas, including Chabriha, Borj El Chmali, Beqaa, Kfarkela, Rab El Thalathine, Khiam and Tayr Harfa.

The strikes follow a deadly attack on a football pitch in the Golan Heights, which Israeli authorities say killed 12 people, including children.
