United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Wronecka on Thursday called for a thorough investigation to determine facts of tragic death of Irish UNIFIL peacekeeper.
“I am deeply saddened by the death of an Irish UNIFIL peacekeeper. Heartfelt condolences to his family, to the UNIFIL Head of Mission, and to all the peacekeepers in south Lebanon, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. A quick and thorough investigation to determine the facts of this tragic incident is crucial," Wronecka wrote on twitter.
