Deputy Head of Kataeb Party Selim Sayegh called on Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati to give immediate instructions to concerned civil and military authorities of Ministry of Interior and Municipalities to take immediate action and conduct the necessary investigations into the extent of water pollution in Chabrouh Dam.

Sayegh revealed a remarkable pollution in its water and the presence of dead fish in its surroundings. 

He also urged to take the necessary measures to protect citizens in a first place and to take the necessary legal measures against those who are responsible in a second place.

"What is happening in Chabrouh Dam water? Is there a real danger of pollution? Why are the fish dying as shown in the pictures? In normal times, these are normal questions. However, in cholera time we require definitive answers legal accountability and immediate treatment. This is what I wrote to the Prime Minister today," Sayegh tweeted.
