Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Saturday urged Lebanese factions to exercise restraint and put national interests first as the region grapples with mounting tensions.

In a post on X Salam appealed for calm amid what he described as dangerous developments unfolding across the Middle East.

“In light of the serious developments the region is witnessing, I once again urge all Lebanese to act with wisdom and patriotism, placing the interest of Lebanon and the Lebanese people above any other consideration,” he wrote.

Salam also delivered a pointed warning against any actions that could entangle Lebanon in broader conflicts.

“We will not accept that anyone drag the country into adventures that threaten its security and unity,” he said.
