Head of Kataeb Media Department Patrick Richa noted that the Kataeb Party had been closely following the situation in Gaza.
“We are uncertain whether the conflict will escalate to Lebanon. However, we are aware of the calls for participation in this matter, but we reject them and hope not to respond to them. We appeal to the military and security forces not to allow such escalation,” Richa noted.
“Lebanon has paid a heavy price for the loss of its sovereignty, particularly in the south,” he affirmed.
"We have endured numerous regional conflicts, including the Syrian war and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Today, we must adhere to the principles of neutrality and non-interference in these conflicts. We need to prioritize our own interests because such ventures can be costly for the nation at all levels,” he stressed.
Richa also posted on “X” platform: “Beware of scenarios that would drag Lebanon into a war, as this country continues to bear the brunt of all conflicts in the region. The Lebanese army and UNIFIL must take appropriate measures at the southern border.”
