Qatar Reinforces Political Efforts to Ensure Stability in Lebanon
The Qatari newspaper "Al-Sharq" wrote that “Qatar is exerting all efforts in supporting the preservation of stability in Lebanon”.
It explained, “In continuation of this role, the Qatar Development Fund announced yesterday an agreement to supply the army of the sisterly Lebanese Republic with fuel for 6 months, worth 30 million dollars. This comes after the support provided by the Fund to the Lebanese Ministry of Health by covering the expenses of diesel fuel for a number of facilities and health institutions in Lebanon”.
The newspaper pointed out that this support for the Lebanese army is a part of an ongoing support for all economic, health, educational and humanitarian sectors in Lebanon.
It indicated, “Qatari support for the Lebanese people is to contribute to reinforcing the political efforts aimed at ensuring the security and stability of Lebanon to overcome its successive political and economic crises, and achieving prosperity for its sisterly people”.
