OGERO: No Plans for Strike and Shutdown of Central Facilities

According to a source from "OGERO," there is no truth to the rumours circulating about the intention of the "OGERO" workers and employees union to declare a strike today and threaten to shut down central facilities across Lebanon due to salary crisis, which would result in a complete paralysis and internet outage in the country.

The source emphasized that a meeting will be held today to decide whether or not to proceed with the strike.

Furthermore, the source confirmed that if any central facility is shut down today, it would be due to diesel fuel depletion and not due to the demands of the workers.

Efforts are being exerted by relevant parties to ensure the availability of diesel fuel today to maintain the operation of the facilities and prevent internet disruption in Lebanon.

Ogero Telecom affirmed that it would continue to serve citizens within available capabilties.

"The news published by Al-Anbaa newspaper claiming that internet services will be stopped across all Lebanese territories by noon today unless the outstanding credits are transferred to the company and its employees, is not accurate. OGERO confirms that it will continue to serve citizens within the available capabilities," Ogero Telecom wrote on twitter.
