Kataeb MP Nadim Gemayel questioned the Lebanese government and the army over the ongoing tensions along the Lebanese-Syrian border, demanding clarity on what has caused the current unrest.

"It is our right to ask the government and the Lebanese Army about what is happening on the Lebanese-Syrian border," Gemayel wrote on X. "What exactly happened? And why is this state of lawlessness still ongoing?"

Gemayel also expressed concern over the emergence of a new dynamic at the border. He questioned whether the situation had evolved into a new "trilogy" under the slogan "Army, People, and Tribes," suggesting that non-state actors may be gaining influence and complicating the already fragile security situation.
