Mouawad Urges Opposition Forces to Unite, the Nation Does Not Seek a Gray-Shaded President

President of the Independence Movement, Michel Mouawad, noted on Wednesday that the fight today is to unite the opposition forces, despite their diversity, under a single endeavor, because in the event of continued dispersion, this opposition will be nothing but an opposing force.

“I received about two-thirds of the votes from the opposition, which is a crucial step toward bringing the opposition together. The opposition must continue to lend a helping hand, and the nation does not seek a gray-shaded president,” Mouawad said in an interview with LBCI.

“Fragmentation will result in electing a president of the Republic who will advance with the state of collapse in which we find ourselves. We need a sovereign and reformist president who can rescue the nation from this situation,” he concluded.
