Minister: Beirut Airport Security Enhanced, More Shelters Planned for Displaced People

Caretaker Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi assured the public on Thursday that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of Beirut’s Airport, emphasizing the ongoing efforts of security and military agencies to maintain stability amid increasing regional tensions.

In a televised address, Mawlawi said that Lebanon is working to expand the number of shelters available for displaced people in Beirut.

"Unity is essential for safeguarding Lebanon’s security; there is no room for division among the Lebanese," the minister stated.
