Makary: Army Reinforcements and Aid Arriving as Ceasefire Monitoring Begins

After a Cabinet session, Lebanon's caretaker Information Minister Ziad Makary announced that arrangements had been made for damage assessment and debris removal, along with an urgent allocation of LBP 4,000 billion.

On Saturday, he called on residents to "adhere to the Lebanese army's instructions to ensure a safe return to their villages."

Makary also shared that "the army commander confirmed that aid for the military is on its way and is expected to arrive next week."

He explained that the ceasefire monitoring committee will begin meetings on Monday, paving the way for the deployment plan to take effect.

The minister emphasized that "the army is stationed along the northern and eastern borders, conducting active surveillance," adding that "the army's presence inspires confidence in its capabilities."

He also revealed that "the army has decided to reinforce its presence along the Syrian border."
