Head of the Students and Youth Department at the Kataeb party Ralph Mrad on Friday deemed Kataeb party as Lebanese and sovereign party, saying that the militia is the one holding arms and violating the state’s decision.

“Our revolution started before the 17th October revolution as we resigned from Tamam Salam’s government in June 2016 and we took to the streets and suspended Sukleen’s commissions and other files,” Mrad said in an interview with MTV.

“We are the only party whose acts speak louder than words. We warned against this deteriorated situation when we said that the taxes will burden Lebanon’s economy while other parties were voting in favor of assigning taxes,” he added.

“The kataeb party was the only one who was against taxes, fake budgets and waste .We are a party that has credibility,” he noted.

“Our party has a clear view. We seek a developed, decentralized and neutral country,” he concluded.
