Head of the Kataeb's Youth Department Says Battle's Goal Is to Preserve Hope for Change

Head of the Students and Youth Department at the Kataeb party, Ralph Mrad, on Thursday stressed that party do believe in change within the democratic frameworks and through the institutions, deeming the electoral process as one of the most important stalemates as it is able to stop Hezbollah, the domination of the corrupt system and the mafia from controlling the joints and the abilities of the State.

“Hard work will be exerted so that the electoral process would succeed,” Mrad told kataeb.org website.

“We will work for the success of the parliamentary elections in the face of the authority’s attempt to thwart this entitlement,” he said.

“A large number of expatriates have left the country since 2019 as a step of irritation against the State. The system and its performance are trying to limit their votes abroad to 6 seats distributed on the continents or even behind the scenes,” he added, pointing out that there is an intention to cancel the elections in the embassies.

Mrad insisted on the expatriates’ vote abroad according to their place of registration, deeming the entitlement as their battle.

“We are the young generation working to build the future Lebanon, and it is our duty to preserve and liberate the country from the domination of the “mafia and militia” alliance which did not miss an opportunity to prevent the dream of the youth in Lebanon,” he added.

“The battle of the department today aims to preserve hope in these elections so as to restore the possibility of change and liberate Lebanon,” he said.
