Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Monday praised the resignation decision of Foreign Minister Nassif Hitti, deeming the government’s resignation as a national need that must take place today before tomorrow.

“Hitti’s resignation stresses the government’s infertility and distortion in handling Lebanon’s economical and social issues, its affiliation to the system’s parties, its negligence to the bitter reality the Lebanese are experiencing today, the loss of credibility and the obstruction of the country's relationship with the supporting countries,” Gemayel wrote on Twitter.
