France to Grant Lebanese Schools 15 Millions Euros

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian on Friday announced that France will provide francophone schools in Lebanon with 15 million Euros in financial support.

“I am aware of the economic difficulty Lebanese schools are currently experiencing and the people's sufferings in paying the school fees,” Le Drian said in a televised news conference.

“You can rely on France for support. We will not allow the Lebanese education system to collapse, namely the francophone schools. We will not the Lebanese youth face this crisis alone,” he added.
