“Fellow attending deputies in today’s session and those bragging about passing the state budget, I wonder how will you stand on the platform and protract in discussing it while it is one of the reasons behind the revolution,” Hankache wrote on his Twitter account.
“The existing ministers did not take a look at it in the first place, thus, have no right to speak of it or defend it as stipulated by Article 64 in the Constitution, while the concerned ministers were toppled by the protests,” he explained.
In another statement to Voice of Lebanon radio station, Hankache slammed security forces’ practices in
Beirut Downtown against protesters, condemning the attitude of superiority and interaction with protesters.
“Lebanese protesters have marked 100 days of demonstrations so how can we discuss the budget with new ministers who know nothing of the budget,” he analyzed.
He condemned the excessive use of violence by security forces and the Lebanese army who don’t seem to distinguish between man and woman.
