Hankache Appeals to Army Command Not to Put Military in the Face of Protesters

On the seventh day of nationwide protests, clashes broke out between protesters and the Lebanese Army as the latter followed Army Command orders to re-open blocked roads.

Within this framework, Kataeb MP Elias Hankache appeals to the Army Commander Joseph Aoun not to set military forces in the face of residents.

“Don’t put our soldiers in confrontation with our people in Jal el-Dib. The Army’s power comes from the public’s regard to it, Hankache tweeted.
