President Michel Aoun has signed the 2019 state budget on Wednesday and has referred it for publication in the Official Gazette Thursday, as reported by the National News Agency.
The president put off signing the budget which was passed by the Parliament ten days ago due to the inclusion of Article 80 pertaining to state employment applicants who passed the Civil Service Council exams but were waiting to be hired due to sectarian imbalances.
Aoun also inked the extension law giving the government 6 more months to present the financial accounts of the previous years.
