Kataeb politburo member Elie Marouni stressed on Friday that state-building requires that the first and last decision be made by the state itself.
“One faction is prevailing over the others so there is a non-state army that exists in parallel to the Lebanese Army,” Marouni told Voice of Lebanon radio station.
The former minister reminded that President Michel Aoun had promised to convoke a dialogue to discuss the country's defense strategy, adding that three years have passed and nothing has happened yet.
