A video circulating on social media has captured the Lebanese Army entering a Hezbollah site located in the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif, in southern Lebanon.
A ceasefire brokered on November 27 ended more than a year of hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, including two months of intense fighting. Under the terms of the agreement, only United Nations peacekeepers and the Lebanese military would be allowed to operate in the country’s south. The deal also required Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group, to dismantle its remaining military infrastructure in the region and move its fighters north of the Litani River, about 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the Israeli border.
