Khoury: Legal International Judicial Cooperation Is Not Considered a Violation of Sovereignty, We Will Confront Any Rule-Breaking Situation

Caretaker Justice Minister Henry Khoury hoped that the return of judges would be a good omen for social and political stability.

"I am still on the judges’ side and with their rightful demands. They are aware of their duties in adjudicating outstanding files. The Ministry transferred the judicial aid requests to the Public Prosecution Office of the Court of Cassation, which has the right to choose the competent judicial authority," Khoury said in a press conference.

Regarding the investigations of the European judicial delegation, he said: "Every international judicial cooperation that takes place in accordance with the rules is not considered a violation of Lebanese sovereignty, and we will face any rule-breaking situation."
