Kataeb Party Mourns the Passing of Veteran Journalist

The Lebanese Kataeb Party's Media Department has issued a heartfelt statement mourning the passing of veteran journalist Hoda Chedid, who died after a prolonged battle with cancer. Known for her courage and professionalism, Chedid's death marks the end of an era for Lebanese journalism, where she was recognized as a steadfast voice for truth and integrity.

In the statement, the Media Department expressed deep sadness at the passing of the esteemed journalist, emphasizing the significant impact Chedid had on Lebanese media. 

"With great sorrow, the Media Department of the Lebanese Kataeb Party bids farewell to Hoda Chedid, who embodied courage and professionalism throughout her career. She dedicated herself to conveying the truth with a clear voice and bold pen," the statement read.

The statement also highlighted Chedid’s determination, noting that she fought her personal battles with the same resolve she showed in her journalistic endeavors. 

"Hoda fought her professional battles with persistence and commitment, and she never surrendered in her battle with illness. She faced it with rare bravery, just as she faced the challenges in her career," it said.

"Her passing marks the loss of a bright face and a free voice in Lebanese media, one that remained loyal to the values and mission of the profession until the very end," the statement concluded.

The Kataeb Party extended its condolences to Chedid’s family, the staff at the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI), and her colleagues across the media industry.
