Justice Minister, Prosecutor Order Strict Enforcement on Illegal Weapons

Justice Minister Adel Nassar and Prosecutor General of the Court of Cassation, Judge Jamal Al-Hajjar, have warned citizens against possessing unlicensed firearms.

A statement from the authorities said anyone found with a weapon not officially licensed by the Lebanese government, regardless of type, will be immediately arrested and referred to the military court. Confiscation of the weapon will be permanent.

The Prosecutor General also instructed public prosecutors to strictly enforce the law, highlighting the government’s determination to crack down on illegal weapons possession.
